The other Dagon

It seems that Fred Chappel has previously published a book called Dagon that is founded in the mythos.  I'm now looking out for this on ebay

Ithaqua gets a story

Deviant Art is hosting an interesting short story featuring "Ithaqua".

Sketch of chaugnar-faugn

I like this sketch of the little known chaugnar-faugn.  It's looks like a college kid was doodling the mythos ( can't think of a better past time!)

Disciple of Dagon online

The book Disciple of Dagon has been made available online.  It's an insight into Lovecraft and his mythos.

Del Toro not giving up

It seems that Del Toro is not giving on making At the Mountains of Madness.  Good luck to him, I say.

Lovecrafts copyright

Wowzers.  I'm glad I don't have to deal with United States copyright after reading through this nightmare.  It's an article about the copyright status of Lovecraft's works. Over here in the UK its just authors death + 70 years, nice and simple.

Upcoming comic

It seems an upcoming episode four comic mini series will have hints of lovecraftism in it.  Well... it's got fish people.

Lyically Lovecraft

Found these lyrics to one of the usual Lovecraftian metal songs. It doesn't quite count as poetry, but still, an amusing couple of ideas in here.

The Annotated Dexter

Just spotted an annotated copy edition of "The case of Charles Dexter Ward".  Haven't taken the plunge and bought it myself, but I am interested to know what the annotations might be about.

Yog Sothoth music

Well all the mythos entities have fans who can make music, most of them in the heavy metal genre.  Well todays link is not that different.

Lovecraft's notes

Here's a transcript from Howard Lovecraft's note book! He actually made everyday notes in this book about stories might write and annotations for existing stories.  It's a facsinating insight.

Trailer for an RPG Campaign

I spotted this unofficial "trailer" for a roleplaying product.  The composer of this piece has tacked together bits from load of films and made a pretty good advert.  I don't suppose this is official in any way.  I spotted some clips from Hell Boy.

Necronomicon in art

This looks like a handmade copy of the necronomicon.  Or is it a CGI rendering, it's getting so hard to tell these days.

Another Ken Hite treat

It seems Kenneth Hite has re-written the Dunwich Horror.  It's not free but based on his other work this would be well worth a read.

Are pagans nuts?

Well, as the title says I have to ask, because there's talk going on this pagan forum that's so far beyond deluded or misinformed!  Some of them seem to think that the creatures of Lovecraft's mythos are real and others that the Necronomicon is real!

Chillin'

The 19 Nocturne Boulevard podcast pushes out audio dramas and the woman at the center of it is a Lovecraft fan.  In a recent episode she released a short audio drama called Chillin' which is inspired by Lovecraft's "Cool Air".  It's a pretty good take on the story.

Now I've seen it all

Is there anything that the Lovecratian mythos can't be turned into.  Lollipops!  I think the Elder sign one might be the best to have in a tight spot ( provided you dont eat it! ).

Extract from occult lore?

Well, I'm not really sure exactly what I'm linking to here.  Is it real occult research or someone having some fun.  Whatever the heck it is, it certainly reads as though someone were trying to translate the Necronomicon.

Steampunk Lovecraft

Another sign that Lovecraftianism is taking over the world.  The book review linked to here is for a steampunk novel that while not Lovecraftian, does feature a city state named after Mr H.P.  An odd choice perhaps but I'm going to keep my eye open for it.

Ole' Shubby in Quake

I remember playing Quake back in the day, but never realised is was Shub!  I might have to dig out my copy of Quake and give it another go, for old times sake.

Musical Hound

Here's a piece of music inspired by the Hounds of Tindalos.  It's a another manic thrash/rock track.  Not sure it quite evokes of horror from beyond the spheres, but it takes all sorts

Lovecraftian Sherlock Holmes

A very cool story to be read for free over at the Lovecraft Ezine by Bruce Durham.  Building on Sherlock Holmes, or more accurately in this case Dr Watson, and the mythos he's created a dashingly good short story worth half an hour of your time to read.

Eldritch comic

The comic "Eldritch" is being resurected, here's a great interview and a few little tasters of the comic itself.
